Herman Wilburn Perkins, III

Goldsboro – Mr. Herman Wilburn “Sonny” Perkins, III, 54, of 2806 Langston Drive, died Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Herman W. Perkins, Jr. and Antoinette Barbour Perkins and was the owner and operator of Perkins Motor Parts. Mr. Perkins was a member of the Goldsboro Elks Lodge #139 B.P.O.E.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife, Ann McKenzie; his son, Wil Perkins of the home; a sister, Antoinette Perkins Derichsweiler and husband Walter Lee of Newport and several nieces.

Memorials may be made to the Wil Perkins Education Fund, in care of, Ann McKenzie, 2806 Langston Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends at his home following the service.
