Geraldine Pike


Geraldine Evans Pike, died Sunday morning at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Sydney R. and Nancy Overby Evans. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pikeville, where she was a member of the choir and taught Sunday school. Funeral services were held Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Pikeville at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverends Rudolph Rowe and Johnny Sasser officiating. Burial followed in Silas Pike Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, David Garland Pike; daughters, Linda P. Wilson and husband, Edward Brian Wilson of Clayton and Barbara P. Britt and husband, Phil of Grantham; sons, Michael Pike and Earl Pike both of the home; sisters, Dora Carter of Clayton, Millie Massey and Magdalene Wilkins both of Smithfield; and grandchildren, “Tripp” Egelston, Kevin Egelston, Chad Britt, Heather Britt, and Charli Britt. She was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Earp.
