William Willard Pittman

Goldsboro – Mr. William Willard Pittman, 89, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Britthaven Nursing Home.

A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late William Harrison Pittman and Tempie Lancaster Pittman and was married to the late Ruby Thorne Pittman. Mr. Pittman retired from Goldsboro Neon Sign Company and was an avid gardener and farmer.

Graveside services will be Friday, June 14, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Radford officiating.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his son, Tommy Pittman and wife, Elaine of Goldsboro; a sister, Gaynelle O’Neal of Clayton; a brother, Buck Pittman of Selma; and two grandchildren, Mike Pittman and Brandon Briggs.

He was preceded in death by a son, William Danny Pittman.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13, 2002, from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tommy and Elaine Pittman, 1279 Old Smithfield Road, Goldsboro.
