Erbie Raynor


Erbie Raynor, 86, died Wednesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Sampson County, he was the son of the late Richard Claude Raynor and Romelia Jackson Raynor and was previously married to the late Eva Wise Raynor. He was a former member and deacon of Friendly Holiness Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a member. Graveside services were held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove. The Reverend Doctor Don Sauls officiated.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Pittman Raynor; daughter, Annette Richards and husband, Bruce; sons, Donald Raynor and wife, Kathrine, Bobby Raynor and Ellis Raynor; stepdaughter, Brenda Dail; stepson, Jerry Goodman and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Brandy Garris and husband, Scott, Heather Stout and husband, Tony, Adrian Richards, Renee Gooch and husband, Darryl, Allen Raynor, Nick Raynor, Michael Howard, Brian Raynor, Sherry Raynor, Kristy Howell and husband, Stuart and Ginger Waller and husband, Keith; and four great-grandchildren.
