Norris Richardson
August 8, 1915 - August 28, 2001 Norris
Richardson, 85, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Valley Springs, Arkansas, he was the
son of the late Marion Rufus Richardson and Ruth Kennicutt
Richardson. Having served in the United States Navy, he was a
retired Chief Petty Officer and was an Aviation Metalsmith Hydraulic
Chief. A member of the Wayne County Wildlife Club, Mr. Richardson
was a member of Silver City Lodge #13 A.F.&A.M. of Homedale,
Idaho and a Shriner in Boise, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00
a.m. from Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Kilby,
officiating. Burial will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22 in Arlington
National Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Virginia
Stover Richardson; daughter, Shirley Chaffin; son, William Norris
Richardson. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Debra Starr,
Tammy Tomlinson, Robert Lee Starr, Aaron William Richardson and
William Norris Richardson, Jr., step-children; Col. Alfred Harry
Davidson III, Patricia D. Brownfield, 3 great grandchildren; 8
step-grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Johnson and Betty Goodlin;
brothers, Lyn Richardson and Glyn Richardson.
He was preceded in death by his sisters; Vecil
Gentile and Iva Lou Ruff and his twin brothers Kenneth Richardson
and Kinder Richardson and a stepson, Lt. Col. Sam R. Davidson.
