James Clark Rockwell Jr

Goldsboro – Major (Ret.) U.S.A.F. James Clark (Rocky) Rockwell, Jr., 81, of 818 Scott Street, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Des Moines, IA, he was the son of the late James Clark Rockwell and Lenore Rockwell. He was a member of the Goldsboro Elks Lodge, Dadaellion Club, Wayne Masonic Lodge #112 A.F.&A.M. and was a Shriner. Mr. Rockwell was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dave Fishman officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Ovelia Price Rockwell; son, James C. Rockwell III of Sanford; sisters, Caroline Nelson of Des Moines, IA and Margaret Druckenbrod of Atlanta, GA; and grandchildren, Ryan Rockwell and Mariah Rockwell.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Rockwell.

The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service.
