Ruby Lee Rose


Goldsboro – Mrs. Ruby Lee Rose, 81, died Thursday at Britthaven Nursing Home.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Vaden and Ida Mae Radford Lee and was married to the late Jim Rose. Mrs. Rose was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Rose is survived by her daughters, Lynda Sue Parker of Newport News, VA, Edith Walker of Goldsboro, Marie Sugg and husband, James Sugg, Jr. of Goldsboro, and Becky Tippett and husband, Wade of Cove City; her sons, Billy Bass and wife, Heidi of Loganville, GA, Walter Bass and wife, Rita of Goldsboro, and Nick Rose and wife, Teresa of Goldsboro; her sisters, Ruth Dunn of Wilmington, Louise Thompson of Wilson and Dorothy Johnson of Wilson; her brothers, Ivey Lee of Nahunta, Billy Lee of Goldsboro and Ralph Lee of Clearwater, FL; fifteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. James Sugg, Jr, 309 Vinwood Avenue, Goldsboro, NC.
