Wayland Dees Rose


Selma – Mr. Wayland Dees Rose, 56, of 106 Jefferson Street, died Wednesday at his home.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Archie Rose and Marjorie Walston Rose and was working with the Country Cupard. Mr. Rose was a member of the First Assembly of God in Goldsboro.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pikeville Cemetery with Pastor Ralph Painter officiating.

Mr. Rose is survived by his fiancée, Gail Sexton of Selma; his children, Martin Rose and wife, Brenda of Goldsboro, David Rose and wife, Sandy of Goldsboro, Christy Rose and fiancée, Leonard Miller of Jacksonville and Brandon Rose of Seven Springs; a brother, Dennis C. Rose and wife, Pam of LaGrange; a sister, Gail Howell of Goldsboro; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro and other times at the home of Dennis and Pam Rose, 6113 Little Wiggins Road, LaGrange.
