Lynn Watson Rowe

January 6, 1943 – April 30, 2004

Goldsboro – Mrs. Lynn Watson Rowe, 61, of 707 New Hope Road died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Emil Watson and Mildred Boyette Watson. Mrs. Rowe was a retired school teacher.

Funeral services will be Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eugene Carpenter presiding. Burial will follow in New Hope Friends Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by her husband, Verlin Charles Rowe; her children, Jack Whitley and Phyllis Whitley; and her nieces, Wendy P. Alexander of Burlington, Kim P. Best of New Bern and Jennifer Lynn of Richmond. She is also survived by her extended family, daughters, Rose O’Quinn and husband, Patrick, Rhonda Best and husband, Robert, Sue Anderson and husband, Andy and Cynthia Cagle and husband, John; sons, Mark Rowe and wife, Janie and Bill Gibbs and wife, Sonia; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several beloved cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, John-John Whitley and her sister, Connie Pemberton.

The family will receive friends Monday from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
