Rose Ann Gambella Russo

LaGrange – Mrs. Rose Ann Gambella Russo, 54, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Mrs. Russo was the daughter of Catherine D. Gambella of Goldsboro and the late Ulysses Dominic Gambella. She had worked with Wayne Memorial Hospital in the Medical Records Division and was the manager of the Courtyard Apartments.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael Russo; her sons, Anthony Russo and wife, Karen of Goldsboro, Uly Russo and wife, Laura of LaGrange, Michael Russo and wife, Veronica of Wilmington, Gerry Russo of San Diego, CA; her daughter, Regina Russo of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Anthony II, Nicholas, Antonio, Michael Ronald and Gerry II; her sisters, Vera Turnage of Goldsboro and Diane Lockwood of Cary; and her brother, Nick Gambella of Goldsboro.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A Rosary will be said Wednesday 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home with visitation following. At other times, the family will be at the home of her sister, 411 Plantation Place, (Raintree Subdivision) Goldsboro.
