Alfred Saucier, Jr.

Goldsboro - Mr. Alfred Saucier, Jr., 62, of 1932 Carolina Circle, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Greenville, Maine, he was the son of the late Alfred Saucier, Sr. and Ruth Jaynes Saucier.

Al was the owner of Tarheel Wholesale, Inc., he was retired with thirty-one years of service with the National Guard, and worked part-time with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. He held the degree of Black Belt in Karate and for many years was an instructor at Sewell’s Karate.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry House officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Surviving: wife, Elaine Godwin Saucier; daughter, Vickie Lynn Saucier Jackson of Pikeville; sons, Alfred Saucier III and Mark Saucier both of Goldsboro; grandchildren, David Anthony Jackson, Christopher Mark Saucier, Daniel Brooke Saucier, Taylor Renee Saucier, and Alissianna Maree Saucier; step mother and father, Adronna Saucier and Bob McElroy both of Greenville, Maine; step-daughters, Dianna Hatem Arnold and Kristy Hatem both of Columbia, S. C.

Mr. Saucier was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister Margaret Whitten and his daughter, Wendy Denise Saucier.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the residence at other times.
