Alice Mae Evans Sauls

Mrs. Alice Mae Evans Sauls, 93, formerly of Eureka, died Thursday at Cornelia Nixon Davis Center in Wilmington.

Mrs. Sauls was born in Wayne County to the late Martin L. Evans and Annie Minchew Evans and was the widow of Henry Joseph Sauls. Mrs. Sauls was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Massey officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.

Mrs. Sauls is survived by her daughter, Annie Sauls Denmark of Swansboro; a son, Lawrence Sauls of Wilmington; two sisters, Bessie E. Anderson of Goldsboro and Mazie E. Edmundson of Fremont; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Henrietta Sauls Glover; a sister, Estelle E. Pittman and a brother, Wright Evans.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Eureka United Methodist Church, 128 N. Church Street, Eureka, NC 27830.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
