Estelle Ricks Sauls

Eureka – Mrs. Estelle Ricks Sauls, 89, of 565 Reidtown Road, died Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William Floyd and Nellie Heath Ricks and the widow of Leland Exum Sauls. Mrs. Sauls was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church. She retired from Wayne Memorial Hospital as a Nursing Assistant with twenty years of service.

Funeral services will be Monday at 4:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Felcher and Rev. James Medlin officiating. Burial will follow in Eureka Cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Billy Sauls and wife, Myrtie of Eureka. Surviving also are two grandchildren, Billy Dwight Sauls and wife, Karen of Eureka, Beth Gurley and husband, Mike of Eureka; and three great grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Travis and Miranda Gurley. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Draper of Elm City.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Mangum; and three brothers, Junius Ricks, James Ricks and Carl Ricks.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Billy and Myrtie Sauls, 206 N. Church Street, Eureka, NC.
