Laura Huffman Sauls

Goldsboro – Laura Huffman Sauls, 63, of 1415 E. Ash Street, died Wednesday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Laura was born in Wayne County on February 20, 1945 to the late James Leonard Huffman and Maggie Deans Huffman. She was married to the late Marvin Sauls. Laura formerly worked with Winn-Dixie in the MarMac Community and attended Mount Carmel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. David Hollowell, Rev. Willard Hardison and Rev. Al Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Laura leaves to cherish her memory her children, Tammy Thornton and husband, John of Goldsboro, J.C. Sauls of Goldsboro and Eddie Sauls and wife, Ann of Goldsboro; her sister, Sarah Malpass and husband George Lloyd of Whittier, NC; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abigail, Emily, Jenna, Noah, Allan, Crystal, Ashley and Kimmy; her great-grandchildren, Teianna and Devon; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Huffman.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her sons, Eddie Sauls, 128 Country Run Lane, Goldsboro, NC.
