Ruth Bogan Schultz

Goldsboro
– Mrs. Ruth Bogan Schultz, 99, died Saturday evening at the Brian
Center.
A native of Bayou La Chute, Louisiana, Mrs. Schultz was the daughter
of the late Rev. Samuel Skolfield Bogan and Virginia Whatley Bogan.
She was the widow of Irvin A. Schultz.
Mrs. Schultz retired from the US Government Civil Service, in
Sacramento, CA, where she worked in Procurement at McClelland AFB.
She was active in her church in Sacramento, CA, and was a avid world
traveler. She was active in numerous civic and social clubs and was
a member of the Pelican Chapter Daughters of the American
Revolution, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Shrinettes, and The
Tuesday Club.
Graveside services will be held 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at Wayne
Memorial Park with Rev. Robert L. Bame officiating.
Mrs. Schultz is survived by a special niece, Ann Pringle Shivers and
husband Edward of Goldsboro; a special nephew, Beau Bogan of Miami
Beach, Fl.; a nephew, Harry T. Pringle and wife Mary Lou of Austin,
TX; a niece, Lucille Bogan Urbas of Houston, TX; many other nieces
and nephews, and a special friend Elliot Friedman of Miami Beach,
Fl.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Schultz was preceded in death by her
nine brothers and sisters.
The family request memorials be made to St. Paul United Methodist
Church Senior Companion Fund, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N. C.
