Bliss Killette Scott

Pikeville – Mrs. Bliss Killette Scott, 86, died Sunday, June 2,
2002, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Rev.
Ernest and Mattie Jackson Killette and the widow of Woodrow Wilson
Scott, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Irene
Killette Howell. Mrs. Scott had been a semi-invalid since 1970. A
resident of Countryside Living in Pikeville, she was the first
occupant of the facility when it opened in November, 1999.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at 7 p.m. at
Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Dunham officiating.
Interment will be Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at 10 a.m. in Pikeville
Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott is survived by her daughters, Anne S. Turner and her
husband, Marvin of Goldsboro and Jettye S. Suggs and her husband,
Gene of Goldsboro; a son, Woodrow W. Scott, Jr. and his wife, Ellen
of Raleigh; her sisters, Lucille K. Goodman and Esther K. Vinson,
both of Pikeville; and five grandchildren, Martha Layne Turner,
Julie S. Wall and husband, Kevin, Jill Suggs, all of Goldsboro, C.
John Scott of Lexington, KY and Eric F. Scott of Raleigh; and one
great-grandchild, Anna Rae Wall of Goldsboro.
Memorial donations may be made to Countryside Living, P.O. Box 335,
Pikeville, NC 27863.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral
home and other times at the home of Anne and Marvin Turner, 210 Lake
Ridge Drive, Goldsboro.
