Mary Stanic Scott

Goldsboro – Mrs. Mary Stanic Scott, 77, of 253 S. Hillcrest Drive, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of California, she was the daughter of the late Paul Stanic and Albina Marencich Stanic and was married to the late Colonel Franklin Harold Scott.

A private graveside service was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenville with Father Tom Norris officiating.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her son, Franklin Paul Scott and wife, Lori of Greenville; her daughters, Mary Margaret “Maggie” Scott of Goldsboro and Dorothy Carol Sellers and husband, Mark of Greensboro; and four grandchildren, Maggie Sellers, Anna Sellers, Mark Sellers and Scott Sellers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, N. C. 27530 or to the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, 610 N. William St., Goldsboro, N. C. 27530
