Raymond Alton Scott

Goldsboro – Mr. Raymond Alton Scott, 85, died Wednesday at Britthaven Nursing Home.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late William L. Scott and Fannie Blackman Scott and was married to the late Doris Lee O’Conner Scott. Mr. Scott was a former employee of A.T. Griffin Manufacturing and worked for a number of years in the poultry business. He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Dr. Jerry Jackson officiating.

Mr. Scott is survived by his brothers, W.L. (Billy) Scott, Jr. and Rodney G. Scott, both of Goldsboro; and his sister, Margaret Waters of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Friday at the graveside following the service.
