David John Secor


Goldsboro -- Mr. David John Secor,79, of 117 Edgar St., died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Muskegon, Michigan, he was the son of the late William and Ellen Youngberg Secore and the widower of Loleta Johnston Secor. Mr. Secor was retired employee of Daughtridge Gas Company in Rocky Mount and was a Army veteran of WW II receiving two bronze stars.

Graveside services with military honors will be 11 A. M. Monday at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Willard Hardison officiating. Following the interment the family will receive friends at his residence.

Surviving: daughters, Cindy Ingle and husband Gwyn of Gibsonville and Sharon Kita and husband Jon of Chesapeake, Va.; son, David J. Secor II and wife Jan of Greensboro; step-daughter, Pat Myers and husband Dannie of Goldsboro; four grandsons, Arthur David Secor, Christopher Hudson Kita, Zachery Anderson Secor, and Matthew William Secor.

Mr. Secor was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Schutz.

The family will receive friends Monday at Seymour Funeral Home from 9:30 A. M. until 10:30 A. M.
