Barbara Joyce Allen Sies

Goldsboro – Mrs. Barbara Joyce Allen Sies, 61, of 209 Hunters Creek Drive, Goldsboro, NC, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the Arthur A. and Olive Mae Shelton Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 12 O’Clock Thursday from the chapel of Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC. Chaplain Randy L. Sellers will officiate. The funeral cortege will leave from Seymour Funeral Home at 10 AM.

She is survived by her husband of thirty two years, Lawrence E. “Larry” Sies; three daughters, Cynthia L. Schwartz and husband, Daniel of Cary, Teresa M. Padgett and husband, Charles of Waldorf, Maryland and Deborah J. Routt of Annapolis, Maryland; a son, Lawrence E. Sies, Jr. and wife, Jody of Wilmington, Delaware; two sisters, Lois Stormont and husband, Jerry of Julian, California and Diantha Johnson and husband, Craig of Eldersburg, Maryland; three brothers, Dale Allen and wife, Rose of La Mesa, California, Gary Allen and Arthur Allen, Jr. both of Hagerstown, Maryland, her father-in-law, Lawrence A. Sies of LaGrange; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 until 8 PM at Seymour Funeral Home.
