Esther Lovette Sloan

Goldsboro – Mrs. Esther Lovette Sloan, 76, of 236 Falling Creek Lane, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. 

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William Clinton Lovette and Mary Butler Lovette. Mrs. Sloan was retired from the Goldsboro City School System and was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Woodmen of the World. 

Graveside services will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Craig Langston and Rev. Rudolph Rowe officiating. 

Mrs. Sloan is survived by her husband, Keith Sloan, Jr.; a son, Joel Kim Sloan of Goldsboro; two daughters, Judy S. Galey of Morganton and Lorri S. Miller of Goldsboro; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Falling Creek United Methodist Church, 299 Falling Creek Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530. 

The family will receive friends Thursday at Seymour Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. and other times at the home.
