Crattie West Smith

Goldsboro – Mrs. Crattie West Smith, 77, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Otis West and Eula Cooke Hopewell and was the widow of Charles S. Smith. Mrs. Smith was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. James Frasher officiating.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Gale Kriger of Goldsboro and Gwen Sak and husband Stan of O’Fallon, MO; her grandchildren, Steve Kriger and wife Terri, Brian Kriger and wife Julie, Sharon Hudson and husband Robert, Paige Sak and Lara Sak; her great-grandchildren, Amber Kriger, Trey Kriger, Drew Kriger, Tiffany Hudson, Austin Kriger, and Kiley Kriger; and a brother, C.R. West.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gene Smith and a daughter, Lisa Smith.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
