Dorothy Rose Griffin Smith

Snow Hill – Mrs. Dorothy Rose Griffin Smith, 57, of 538 Free Gospel Road, died Friday at her home.

A native of Pitt County, she was the daughter of Marvin Griffin and Dorothy Marie Galloway Griffin.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Hollomon officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Lee Smith; her daughters, Lee Lewis and husband, Larry of Zebulon, Sharon “Sherry” Gaussiran and husband, Smokie of Louisianna and Beverly Dupree and husband, Wayne of Tarboro; a sister, Judy Grant and husband, Donny of Snow Hill; her grandchildren, Wayne Barmer, Amy Barmer, Stephen Tyler Robbins, Britney Henault, Faron Henault, Madison Brooke Burgess and Amanda Rose Lewis; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Smith of Snow Hill and a special aunt, Geraldine Fletcher of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Griffin and a sister, Yvonne Griffin.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
