Rachel Davis Smith

Richmond, VA – Mrs. Rachel Davis Smith, 79, of 1901 Greenfield Drive, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at the Johnston Willis Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Dave Jones and Eva Parrish Jones. She was a retired supervisor for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Company.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 20, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark Thomas and Rev. Gerald Hollamon will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, LaGrange, NC.

Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Charles Elliott Davis of Richmond, VA and a daughter, Peggy Ann Sauls of Richmond, VA; a sister, Doris Sasser Yelverton of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Doris Sasser Yelverton, 216 Trey Drive, Goldsboro.
