Ruth Eleanor Smith

June 10, 1921 - May 6, 2001

A native of Wayne County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Joe Smith and Zola Worrell Smith. She was a faithful member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church where she attended as long as she was able.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Grady officiating. Burial will follow in the Jim Berry Worrell Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Annie Ruth Capps and husband, Benny L. Capps of Atlantic Beach; sons, Larry E. Smith of Goldsboro, Ray Smith and wife, Martha of LaGrange and Anthony Smith of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Denise S. Williams, Melissa S. Coleman, Marcy R. Capps, Angela S. Cianfarra, Brian Smith, Amanda Evans, Michael Moore and Emily L. Smith; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Smith of Dudley and Durwood Smith of Goldsboro; and four sisters, Edna Davis of Goldsboro, Alease Minshew of LaGrange, Dorothy Hollamon of Goldsboro and Margie Tyner of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
