Thelma Edwards Smith

Thelma Edwards Smith, 89, died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late John Bryant Edwards and Mattie Virginia Martin Edwards and was married to the late James Patrick Smith.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. McGee Creech officiating. Burial followed in the Smith Cemetery in Greene County.

She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
