Mary Ruth Styles

Goldsboro – Mrs. Mary Ruth (Ruthie) Styles Johnson, 67, of 201 Spearwood Drive, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Marion, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lawson J. Styles Sr. and Bertha S. Styles. Mrs. Johnson was retired from the American Management Company and was a former employee of Sears and Roebuck in Goldsboro. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Sauls officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Raymond L. “Ray” Johnson; her daughters, Pamela J. Robinson and Katherine R. Grimes; her son, Steven Mitchell “Mitch” Robinson; her step-children, Jeffrey L. Johnson, Richard D. Johnson and Alison J. Wood; her brothers and sisters, Lawson J. Styles Jr., Nell Hoover, Colleen Loauchridge, Bobby Styles and Jean McMahan; her grandchildren, Heather Ennis, Ashley Grimes, and Kyle Grimes; two step-grandchildren, Bradley Johnson and Christopher Wood; and a great-grandchild, Cain Ennis.

Memorials may be made to the Organ Donor Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill or to the charity of one’s choice.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
