Bertha Lee Talton

Pikeville – Mrs. Bertha Lee Talton, 94, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Archie P. Lee and Lula Smith Lee and was the widow of Mack Duffy Talton. Mrs. Talton was a member of Union Grove Free Will Baptist Church for over 75 years and had worked with the Goldsboro Curb Market for 35 years.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Glosson officiating. Burial will follow at the Pike Cemetery.

Mrs. Talton is survived by her sons, Marion Talton and wife Annette of Pikeville and Cyrus Talton and wife Sheila of Pikeville; her daughter-in-law, Betty Lou Talton Lynch of Pikeville; her sisters, Katie Hall of Dudley, Lida Bell Futrell of Pikeville and Lois Lee of Selma; her six grandchildren, Karen Adler, Stanley Mack Talton, Shelly Peele, Rusty Talton, Trista Bolenbaugh and Amanda Talton; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Norwood Mack Talton.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-9 p.m at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Marion and Annette Talton, 488 Pikes Cemetery Road, Pikeville.
