Louise Barnes Talton

Eureka – Mrs. Louise Barnes “Doodle” Talton, 76, of 105 N. Church Street, died Wednesday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

Mrs. Talton was born in Wayne County to the late Perry Clennon Barnes and Louise Wall Barnes and was the widow of Oscar Frank Talton.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka with Rev. Robbie Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery.

Mrs. Talton is survived by her daughter, Susan Talton Pender and her husband, Elbert Pender of Eureka; her son, Donald Talton of Eureka; her sisters, Doris Jones of Kenly and Darlene Pipkin of Black Creek; her half-sister, Ethel Green of Fremont; her half brothers, William “Bob” Barnes and Jim Barnes, both of Fremont; her grandchildren, Donald W. Talton and Sandra Lynn Pender; and her great-grandchild, Brianna Lynn Casey.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home her daughter, Susan T. Pender, 230 Davis Street, Eureka.
