Mamie Stanley Taylor

Goldsboro – Mrs. Mamie Stanley Taylor, 91, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Stanley and Myrtie Wiggins Stanley and the widow of John William Taylor.

Funeral services will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dann Patrick officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Taylor Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter, Thelma T. Mills and her husband Norwood of Goldsboro; four grandchildren, William Leonard Mills and special friend Linda Borders, Larry Mills and special friend Donna Thigpen, Kenneth Mills and wife Sharon and Norlette Mills Adams and husband Freddie Adams Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Julia Tyndall of Goldsboro and Hilda Peeples of Goldsboro; and her god-children, Shirley Smith Brock of LaGrange and Robert Sutton of Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Freddie and Norlette Adams, 101 Cassedale Drive, Goldsboro.
