Minnie Mae Carlisle Thomas

Goldsboro – Mrs. Minnie Mae Carlisle Thomas, 85, died Tuesday at the Brian Center.

A native of Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Charles Carlisle and Minnie Taylor Carlisle and was married to the late James William Thomas. Mrs. Thomas was a retired dietician with Guardian Care Nursing Home and was a member of Patetown Church of God.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alton Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughter, Linda Sullivan of Boiling Springs, SC; her sons, Nelson Thomas of Winston-Salem, Earl Thomas of Hillsborough and Charles Thomas of Goldsboro; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Westbrook and Dora Hare, both of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 7-8:30 and other times at the home of Charles Thomas, 133 Hailey Drive, Goldsboro.
