Frances Adkinson Turrone

Greenville – Mrs. Frances Adkinson Turrone, 84, died Thursday evening at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.

A native of Sampson, Alabama, Mrs. Turrone was the widow of George A. Turrone. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Goldsboro.

Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Raleigh National Cemetery.

Rev. Jim Alley will officiate.

Mrs. Turrone is survived by a daughter, Carmen Turrone Pike and husband, Homer of Rocky Mount; her sons, Christopher Anthony Turrone and wife, Nancy of Greenville and Carl Gregory Turrone and wife, Katherine of Clayton; her brothers, Al Adkinson, John Henry Day and Roland Day, all of Sampson, AL; and seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church Mission Fund, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
