Jane McClees Tyndall

Goldsboro - Mrs. Jane McClees Tyndall, 55, died Tuesday at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Craven County, she was the daughter of Harriett Marett McClees of Oriental and the late William Paul McClees, Sr. She was the widow of Dickie Tyndall. Jane taught in the Wayne County School System and retired as a teacher and coach from Charles B. Aycock High School.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. A private burial will be at the McClees family site, Oriental Cemetery, Oriental, N. C.

Surviving in addition to her mother is her daughter, Paula Tyndall-Steele and husband, Dr. Eric Steele of Wilmington; brother, Dr. William McClees and wife, Peggy of Havelock; and extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Home Health & Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Dr., Goldsboro, N. C. 27534 or the charity of one’s choice.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Thursday night.
