Mary Hill Vick

Goldsboro – Mrs. Mary Hill Vick, 85, of 305 Glen Oak Drive, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Toronto, Canada, she was the daughter of the late James A. Hill and Anna Wirth Hill. Mrs. Vick was a member of the retired Officer Wife’s Club at Seymour- Johnson Air Force Base and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Hospital for 37 years. She was the recipient of the Clara Barton Award with the American Red Cross and in 1989 received the Governor Award for volunteering. For three years, Mrs. Vick received the volunteer award at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Father George Foster presiding.

She is survived by her husband, Col. Roy L. Vick; her daughter, Amy K. Stone and husband, George G. Stone, Jr. of Rockingham; her son, Roy L. Vick Jr. and wife, Yamira of Raleigh; her step-daughter, Trudy V. Phillips of Phoenix, AZ; her step-sons, Ronald L. Vick and Stephen L. Vick; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends after the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his residence
