Joyce Waters Weathers

Goldsboro, NC -- Mrs. Joyce Waters Weathers,75, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Maggie Sutton Waters and Lloyd Henry Waters. Mrs. Weathers was married to the late Charles St. George Weathers for forty-six years.

Mrs. Weathers was a loving mother, wife and friend. She was a former Girl Scout leader and was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church where she served many years as a Sunday School teacher.

Funeral services by the graveside will be 11 A. M. Tuesday at Willow Dale Cemetery with Rev. Madison Hankal, Dr. Billy Seate, and Rev. Robert Bame officiating. Her nine grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

She is survived by her four daughters, Ella Scott Weathers, Lynn Weathers Dail, Holly Weathers Steed and her husband Carl , Carol Weathers Bryan and her husband Michael all of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Brandon LaRoque of Raleigh, Roby Dail of Greensboro, Billy Dail of Asheville, Spencer Dail of Goldsboro, Hunter Steed of Greenville, Matt Steed and Sam Steed of Goldsboro, Kelly Hagwood of Greensboro and Marlo Bryan of Goldsboro; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Waters of Goldsboro and Mrs. Jane Weathers of Raleigh; nine nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends at her residence, 300 S. Pineview Avenue.
