Edward Harry Webb

Goldsboro – Mr. Edward “Ed” Harry Webb, 78, of 1619 S. Taylor
Street, died Saturday morning at his home.
A native of Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late George and
Blanche Kelly Webb. Mr. Webb was the retired general manager of AP
Parts Company having served in this position for twenty years and
was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. He was very active
in the community serving as Vice President of the Chamber of
Commerce, board chairman of Southern National Bank (BB & T) City
Bank, board member of Wayne Community College Foundation, board
member of Wayne Memorial Hospital, board member of the Airport
Authority and board member of the Salvation Army. He was also an
active member of Walnut Creek Country Club serving as board member
for three years as well as a member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge #139
B.P.O.E.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary
Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Norris O.S.F.S presiding.
Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife Bette Cannon Webb; daughters, Kathy
Chamberlain and husband, Dennis, of Cuba, New York and Lynn Benton
and husband David of Orchard Park, New York; sons, E. Richard Webb
and wife, Teresa of Wilmington and James Webb of Cuba, New York;
grandchildren, Jamie Marcello and husband Jon, Cary Chamberlain, Rob
Chamberlain, Brandon Webb, Jarred Webb and Kohl Webb; and a great
grandson, Austen Chamberlain.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins
Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
A wake service will be held Monday at 7:00 PM at Seymour Funeral
Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service
and at other times at the residence.
