Barbara Lewis Wells

Pikeville – Mrs. Barbara Lewis Wells, 64, of 317 Hardy Talton Road died Monday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

A native of Edgecombe County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lewis and Betty Lee Lewis. Mrs. Wells was a retired licensed practical nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital for 18 years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Timothy Creel officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Wells is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bryan Wells; her sons, Timothy Wells and wife, Jennifer of Pikeville and Kenneth Bryan Wells, Jr. of Pikeville; her daughter, Barbara Victoria Wells Bissette and husband, Ernest of Pikeville; three brothers, William “Bill” Lewis, James Tony Lewis and Jimmy (Buddy) Lewis, all of Tarboro; a special sister-in-law, Judy Lewis-Silveri; and three grandchildren, Jamie Bissette, Betsy Bissette and Joshua Wells.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert (Shorty) Lewis and Linwood T. Lewis, Sr.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home following the service and other times at her home.
