Etta Mae Waters Wilkins

Princeton
– Etta Mae Waters Wilkins, 88, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday,
May 7, 2008 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Wilkins was born in Wayne County on June 18, 1919 to the late
Jerry Franklin Waters and Mollie Westbrook Waters. She was married
to the late Lenly Wilkins. Her greatest joy was being a full-time
homemaker with devotion to her family. Among her fondiest memories
were the years spent teaching the primary class as a member of
Oakland Friends Meeting. She was also a past member of the Oakland
Grange and Homemakers Club.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of
Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Percy Coleman and Rev. Rose Hicks
officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at
Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilkins is survived by her son, Alton Ray Wilkins and wife,
Jane of Goldsboro; her daughter, Carolyn W. Howell and husband, Jack
of Princeton; her grandchildren, Dean Wilkins and wife, Brandy,
Kimberly Wilkins, and Jackie Howell Hudson and husband, Jamie; her
great grandchildren, Peyton and Dalton Wilkins and Makenzi and
Madison Hudson; her brother, Edward Waters and wife, Marie and her
sisters-in-law, Ruby Floars and Jessie Waters.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Wilkins was preceded in
death by a brother, Hudson Waters.
The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour
Funeral Home.
