Woodrow Wilson Williams

Dudley – Mr. Woodrow “Woody” Wilson Williams, 74, of 381 Durham Lake Road, died Saturday at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late James Henry Monroe Williams and Addie Rachel Hardee Williams and was married to the late Anna Marie Basden Williams. Mr. Williams was retired from Dewey Brothers.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Williams Kelly and husband, Travis of Seven Springs; his sons, James Russell Williams of Atlanta, GA, Charles Woodrow Williams and wife, Kathleen of Four Oaks and Speedy Kenneth Earl Williams and wife, Jeannie of Goldsboro; sisters, Christine Creech of Dudley and Leona Matusko Box of Galvinston, TX; brothers, James Ezra “Ed” Williams of Dudley and Ronnie Ray Williams of Dudley; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Marie Dixon.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.
