Gretchen B. Wilson


Goldsboro – Mrs. Gretchen B. Wilson, widow of Frank C. Wilson, Sr. died Saturday at her home.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late John C. Barden and Ellen Ham Barden. Mrs. Wilson was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and a charter member of the W.S.C.S. at Salem United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Dulaney officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sons, Frank C. Wilson, Jr. of King and Lynn A. Wilson and wife, Kaye Hall Wilson of Archdale; sister, Nancy B. Raburn and husband, R.J. of Goldsboro; sisters-in-law, Bertie E. Barden of Goldsboro and Marilyn L. Barden of Charlotte; grandchildren, Melissa Wilson of Greenville, SC and Joshua Wilson of Morrisville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Beverly Downey Wilson; a sister, Alice B. Zebelean and husband, John P. Zebelean, Jr. and brothers, Woodrow W. Barden and Russell S. Barden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2706 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro or to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
