Robert Linwood Yelverton

Goldsboro - Mr. Robert (Bob) Linwood Yelverton, 74, of 126 Trey Dr.,
died Friday at his residence. A native of Wayne County, he was the
son of the late Lloyd and Carrie West Yelverton. Mr. Yelverton was
retired maintenance supervisor at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was a
member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was the
former president of the men’s fellowship.
Funeral services will be 2 P. M. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Berry House and Rev. Gerald Hollamon officiating.
Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Surviving: wife, Doris Sasser Yelverton; daughter, Myra Vanderhouver
of Wisconsin; son, Craig Yelverton of Goldsboro; step-daughters,
Shelia Collier of Goldsboro, Karen Tyndall of Snow Hill, Libby Peele
and Kathy Edmundson both of Goldsboro; step-son, Ronnie Sasser of
Goldsboro; sisters, Margaret Batten and Sarah Sauls both of
Goldsboro; brother, Lloyd Yelverton of Goldsboro; four
grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; one great step grandchild;
and a special friend Jean Collier of Goldsboro.
Mr. Yelverton was preceded in death by a sister Edna Heath; brother,
Ray Yelverton; and a step-son, Ricky Turnage.
Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to Liberty Pentecostal
Holiness Church, 206 Country Day Road, Goldsboro, N. C. 27530.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 P. M. until 9 P.
M. at the funeral home and will be at the residence at other times.
