Robert Linwood Yelverton

Goldsboro - Mr. Robert (Bob) Linwood Yelverton, 74, of 126 Trey Dr., died Friday at his residence. A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Carrie West Yelverton. Mr. Yelverton was retired maintenance supervisor at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was the former president of the men’s fellowship.

Funeral services will be 2 P. M. Monday at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Berry House and Rev. Gerald Hollamon officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Surviving: wife, Doris Sasser Yelverton; daughter, Myra Vanderhouver of Wisconsin; son, Craig Yelverton of Goldsboro; step-daughters, Shelia Collier of Goldsboro, Karen Tyndall of Snow Hill, Libby Peele and Kathy Edmundson both of Goldsboro; step-son, Ronnie Sasser of Goldsboro; sisters, Margaret Batten and Sarah Sauls both of Goldsboro; brother, Lloyd Yelverton of Goldsboro; four grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; one great step grandchild; and a special friend Jean Collier of Goldsboro.

Mr. Yelverton was preceded in death by a sister Edna Heath; brother, Ray Yelverton; and a step-son, Ricky Turnage.

The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 P. M. until 9 P. M. at the funeral home and will be at the residence at other times.
