Nannie Piper Zealy

Goldsboro
– Mrs. Nannie Piper Zealy, 81, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial
Hospital.
Mrs. Zealy was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky to William Ernest
Piper and Lucille Burnaw Piper. She had attended Centre College in
Danville, Kentucky. Mrs. Zealy was a member of First Presbyterian
Church of Goldsboro where she was past president of the Women of the
Church and also assisted with the Flower Guild at the church. She
received an award as an honorary life member of the Women of the
Church. Mrs. Zealy was also a member of the Colonial Dames and the
David Williams Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at
the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. William Hufham officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
Mrs. Zealy is survived by her husband, Dr. James M. Zealy, her
daughter, Carol Zealy Goss of Goldsboro, her son, James McKee Zealy,
Jr. and wife, Carol Regan Zealy of Greensboro. There are also five
grandchildren, David McKee Zealy of Greensboro, Michael Regan Zealy
of High Point, Jamie Carol Zealy of Raleigh, Tiffany Goss Williams
of LaGrange and Charles Terry Goss of Raleigh. The
Great-grandchildren include, Austin Charles Williams and Ryan Lee
Rouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian
Church, 1101 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 125 Overbrook
Road, Goldsboro.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
