Carol Johnson Coltrane, 60, loving wife and mother, died Monday, April 9, 2018 at her home.
Carol was the daughter of the late Joseph B. Johnson and Sarah M. Howell. She studied dance and enjoyed horseback riding in her youth, but her greatest joy was being a devoted wife and mother to her sons.
A service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held by the graveside at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Steve Wellman officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
Carol is survived by her husband of almost 35 years, Glenn Coltrane; sons, Joshua Coltrane and wife Colleen of New Bern and Bryan Coltrane of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Sarah Jo Wiggs of Grifton; and her two grandchildren, Amelia and Violet Coltrane of New Bern. She is also survived by her nieces, Ashley Sutton and husband Kevin of Wilmington and Jamie Haddock of Grifton and by their children, Madison Sutton, Payton Haddock and Trent Haddock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Breece Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the Stained Glass Fund at First Baptist Church, 125 S. John Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
