Paul Glenn Parrish, 88, passed away early Saturday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Paul was born in Wayne County on September 1, 1930 to the late Leroy and Alice Sasser Parrish. He was married for 63 years to Rachel McKeel Parrish. Paul was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years.
A service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with his pastor, Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. The family will also receive friends Monday following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Paul is survived by his son, Kevin Parrish and wife Melody of Goldsboro; sisters, Dorothy Parrish of Goldsboro, Elgia Parrish of Goldsboro and Frances Hyde of Wilson; and brother, Wilton Parrish of Fremont. He was most proud of his two grandsons, Andrew Parrish and David Parrish.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Evans, Mildred Merritt, Carolyn Parrish, Emmie Pittman and Edna Holmes; and brothers, Gurney Parrish and Archie Parrish.
