Obituary for James Edward Herring

James Edward Herring, 84, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Herring was born in Wayne County on October 10, 1933 to the late Leslie and Norma Lee James Herring. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Herring retired from Mount Olive Pickle Company.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 12:00 noon in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Elease Houston Herring; children, Constance Kelso and husband Lloyd, Sonny James Herring, Sheila Parks, David Herring and Michelle Carroll and husband Tim; eight grandchildren and his brother, Billy Ray Herring.
