Obituary for Johnnie Charles Mobley

Johnnie Charles Mobley, 62, passed away on Saturday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

Johnnie was born in Norfolk, Virginia on July 9, 1956 to the late Alton Bruce Mobley and Margaret Edwards Mobley. He will be remembered for his great love of cars, food, music and sports, especially the UNC Tarheels.

A service to remember Johnnie will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Johnnie is survived by his sisters, Sheila Custer and husband Ricky and Penny Wiggs and husband Steve; nieces and nephew, Gail Pierce and husband Dwayne, Sarah Merrill and husband Ryan, Liz Bottarro and husband Adrian, and Matthew Wiggs and wife Stephanie; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Mobley Hobbs.
